LE TEMPS PARTAGÉ
MARC ALYN - NOHAD SALAMEH - BERNARD ALLIGAND
SHARED TIME between the poets Marc Alyn and Nohad Salameh (partners in life) is not merely the passing of hours and days. It is a fusion of souls and minds, an unceasing exploration of the love of language, where every moment lived together becomes a form of eternity, sublimated by words.
Whether cosmic time or earthly time, Bernard Alligand creates a tension between the ephemeral (human existence) and the eternal (the universe). He transcends the linear perception of time through a play of mirrors and geometric forms, symbolizing the birth and expansion of the universe in contrasting hues of red and black, scattered with stars of silver and gold.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The Visual Works
The conception and creation of the two artist’s books that make up Shared Time involve a multitude of hand-crafted interventions by the artist. The innovative techniques employed—requiring great dexterity and patience—unfold in several stages:
-
Preparation of the supports: the artist’s illustrations and photographs; preparation of backgrounds on offset paper (red and black paint shot through with orange); digital printing of motifs; colouring of resin, application of coating, and sprinkling of silver and gold dust.
-
Moulin du Gué white paper (270 gsm) engraved using the Carborundum technique: composition on plate, application of material, dry press printing strip by strip.
-
Measurement and cutting of geometric forms, assembly and mounting of compositions.
-
Selection of binding and mounting of the books onto a chemise lined with red velvet.
The original edition consists of 30 copies, all similar, each nonetheless unique.
