SOPHIE ZÉNON, born in 1965 in Petit-Quevilly (Normandy), is a photographic artist. She lives and works in Paris.
Her creations take the form of photographic series, artist's books, videos, and installations. Her works have been exhibited in Europe and internationally since 2000 in numerous photography centers, institutions, museums, festivals, and art fairs (Paris Photo, Art Paris), in venues such as the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (Paris), the Pierre Bergé/Yves Saint Laurent Foundation (Paris), the Fernet-Branca Foundation (Saint-Louis), the François Schneider Foundation (Wattwiller), and the Thessa Herold Gallery (Paris). Her work has been acquired by public collections (European House of Photography, National Library of France, French Museum of Photography, Kandinsky Library/Beaubourg, Rijksmuseum Library, etc.) and numerous private collections.
She is the author of three monographs and five artists' books.
